How do I change my address? 
Once you are logged into our website, you can change any of your personal or contact information by clicking the “Profile” tab at the top. Click the “Edit Profile” button to put in your new information.

How do I know if my subscription is active?
All subscriptions/memberships expire on Dec. 31st. If you login and see the red Online Access link in the list on the right then your subscription to that journal is active. 

How do I login? 
On each journal homepage, there is a login tab at the top right. Enter your username and password to gain access to full-length articles. 

What do I do if I forget my username or password ?
On the login page, there is a link to request a password reminder. We will send your password to the email address we have on file for you. If you don't have your username please email and we will email it to you.

How do I renew my subscription? 
Once you are logged in, you can renew your subscription for any of our journals by clicking the “Subscribe/Renew” link on the right. Once you enter your information and select your subscription option, you will be redirected to the credit card information page. 

Where can I see sample articles?
Sample articles are available on each journal’s home page under the link for “Sample Articles and TOCs.”

Could I buy a single article?
You can buy access to a single article through the Project MUSE site or through the website

Can I pay with a check?
Yes, click the Subscribe/Renew button and download the Subscription Order Form for your journal.

How do I purchase back issues?
Back Issues of all of our journals are available for purchase at the prices listed on each of the journal pages. Email to place a back issue order.

If I don’t receive my copy of the journal or if it’s damaged, how do I get a replacement?
You can place a missed issue claim by emailing All missed issue claims must be made within six months of publication (nine months for overseas subscribers). After this date, you will be charged the price of a single issue for your replacement copy.

Where are the articles posted online? 
Online access to current articles is available to our subscribers only through Project MUSE. Follow the directions listed above for logging in, and then click the red “Online Access” link that will appear on the right. 


What is the Open Access policy for Penn Press Journals? 
The open access policy for all Penn Press journals is outlined on our webpage here: /archive-and-digital-repository-policy/

As noted in the first paragraph we conform to green open access practices.

The embargo period is 12 months.

We do not offer the option of gold open access.
